The Jungle was the last room we did at Room Escape Atlantic in Moncton. In this scenario, we signed up for a beautiful jungle tour with our friends. However, at some point, we got separated from the group. The goal is to survive and be rescued before nightfall. The scenario is a bit basic, but the goal is clear.

The decor in this escape room was a bit uneven. While the walls were nicely done, the effort seemed to stop there. There were school bags placed everywhere with locks on them and a table in the center. We were told after that this room is meant for school kids. However, it felt underdeveloped and could have been more immersive. Additionally, it was only one big room, and the absence of music was noticeable, especially since there wasn’t any door, allowing us to hear everything from the hall.

The puzzles were fun to solve and all related to the theme. Each school bag contained all the clues needed for the next puzzle. Nothing was hidden elsewhere; everything you needed was in the same bag. It was a linear room where we would open a bag, solve the puzzle, and then move on to the next one. The puzzles were all traditional locks with either four letters or numbers. Hints were given via a phone, which was fine.

Overall, this wasn’t our favorite room, but kids would definitely enjoy it. It’s 100% family-friendly and better suited for smaller groups of 2-3 people. We wouldn’t recommend it for experienced escape room enthusiasts. We are happy with our performance, as we completed it quickly without asking for any hints. We didn’t really enjoy it, but we escaped!
