Mindmaster Industries was our 5th escape room at Escape City and they managed to completely surprise us! In this scenario, we saw in the newspaper an ad offering $300 and a free lunch! This ad was enticing enough for you to go to the address and find a few people all assembled probably for the same reason as you. The door opens and Dr Saunders says: “Welcome to the experiment. Form alliances, turn on each other, devour the weak, conquer but more importantly, have fun! People who will succeed will be selected for exciting opportunities in Mindmaster Industries.” And then it begins. You’re just not sure what you are getting into.
The scenario of this escape room is really unique and original! We really loved it and we were surprised from the beginning to the end. Also, the immersion is at a very high level as it’s so realistic. Indeed, the game starts in the alley outside and we enter the room without knowing what will happen, exactly like in the story. Moreover, the decors are well done and it evolves in a direction we weren’t expecting at all.
The puzzles were all related to the theme and were all fun to solve! There are a wide variety of logics as well as a great balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms and games. Every steps of this escape room is a surprise, it’s seriously brilliantly created. The hints were given with an audio recording, which is a good way to do it in this case.
Overall, we are happy with our performance as we knew it was a tricky room and we escaped asking for only one hint. We highly recommend that you try this escape room as it’s simply brillant and surprising from the start to the end. We loved it and we escaped!
