Lost in space was the 3rd rooms that we’ve done at this exit locations. The Gastown location was new at the time as they just took over Smarty Pantz’s old space. In this scenario, we are exploring planets and looking for new resources with our spaceship. We approach a planet and the electromagnetic force interfere with our systems and shuts the power off. We need to find a way to restarts our system before we crash on the planet! We liked the scenario as it’s a classic with a clear goal.
The decors were nearly exactly the same as the one from Smarty pants. We were very disappointed about this, as it takes away the surprise effects and it feels like we’ve already done the room. Aside from that, the decors were well done but it needed a bit polishing.

It was mostly manipulation puzzles and not many logic ones. We usually prefers when there’s a better balanced between these two types. They also used the exact same puzzle pattern as in the room Hurricane and I think this is just unacceptable. We prefer when each room has unique and surprising puzzles. Also, there was a puzzle that was broken already.
For the hints, the game master will enter the room and help us where we are stuck. Which isn’t our favorite way of giving hints.
Overall, this one isn’t our favorite because of the decors and puzzles. But if you prefer manipulation puzzles and haven’t done the rooms at Smarty pantz before, you will probably like it. We think it’s better suited for less experienced escape artists and small groups of people. It’s also a family friendly room. We didn’t like it that much and we escaped!
