Our day continues at Escape 60 in Calgary with Wizardry: dark order. In this scenario, dark magic and loyalty compel you to attempt to resurrect the lord of darkness from the dead. You venture to his mansion where you explore his possessions to uncover the mystery of his return. We liked the scenario although it was not quite as detailed as others at the location.

Before starting the escape game, our passionate game master explains the scenario in a separate room. We really liked that the outside part of the doors are decorated according to each different themes. We start this escape game separated in two different rooms but still able to communicate to each other. There are indeed multiple rooms in this game. The decors were really beautiful, realistic, and well-made. There was also slightly stressful music that made sense with the theme of dark magic. The decors really transported us into the world of Harry Potter and we really liked the twist of being the vilain this time!

The puzzles were all related to the theme, original and difficult. There were mainly traditional locks and automatic puzzles and a great variety of logics. We were particularly impressed with the use of light in one of the puzzles. Hints were given using a walkie-talkie by the game master, who plays a character from the theme. We really liked this approach.

Overall, we loved this escape game and highly recommend you to try it. It can be slightly scary as it’s dark but there aren’t any jump scares. We are very satisfied with our performance, as we managed to complete it in a good time, only needing 1 hint. We loved it and we escaped!
