This room was the third one that we’ve done at Escape emporium. In this scenario, as we enter the jungle, we hear drum sounds so with the help of our friends we decide to go investigate. Without really noticing, we get into a weird game that challenges us to survive in the jungle. We hear weird noises et strange animals start to appear. Our survival depends on our actions. With each roll of dice and each step, our game piece reveals a new challenge for us to confront. To win and escape this game, one of the game piece has to reach the end. Are we ready for an adventure?

The decors were good and realistic, especially the jumanji game placed at the centre that looked similar to the one in the movie. There was music playing which helped the immersion. This theme is actually quite unique and original as we haven’t seen that many escape rooms using it. The goal of the story was clear and there was more than one room which is always more fun.

The puzzles were all related to the theme and all fun to solve. They’ve used different types of logic with their puzzles which always makes the room more interesting. There was a good balance between the use of traditional locks, automatic mechanisms and manipulation puzzles. Also, each time you solve a puzzle, something happens which really puts you in the Jumanji mood.

The hints were given on a TV screen after showing a piece a cardboard saying hints to the camera. It’s not our favorite way of giving hints but it works fine.

Overall, we recommend doing this escape room because we liked the theme, story and puzzles! It’s a family friendly room that is best suited for smaller groups. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time asking for only one hint! We liked it and we escaped!
