We are starting our evening with Candy Factory at Exit in Abbotsford. In this scenario, you learn that your estrange uncle Mr Wonder has been given a very short amount of time to live. Mr wonder is the owner of the largest sweet factory in the world which means that he is one of the richest man on the planet. After hiding all his recipes from his family, he now cannot decide who he should leave his enormous candy fortune to. As one member of his family, you have the opportunity to compete to win the ultimate prize : the whole factory and all of Mr wonder’s sweet stores. Do you have what it takes to challenge Mr. Wonder himself and make it out without a hard candy coating?

The decors were basic as there wasn’t much details and it had poor finishing. With this playful theme, there are so many things they could have done differently! Also, there wasn’t many accessories and furnitures in each room so it felt empty. It didn’t really look like a candy factory after all. It was badly soundproofed because we could hear everything that was happening in the hall.

The puzzles were very easy but cute and well thought. They had good ideas but it could have been still slightly harder or have more puzzles to solve. It was definitely a game made for families and children. The balance between manipulation games, automatic mechanisms and traditional locks was great. To give hints, the game master was coming in to help us with the puzzles we were stuck on. We don’t like this way of giving hints.

Overall, we are happy with our performance as we finished with a great time! If you are looking for an easy game to do with your children, this is the perfect escape room. Otherwise, you will likely find it too easy. We didn’t really liked it and we escaped!
