Time Warp was the second room we did at Time Escape in Edmonton. In this scenario, we are a team of scientists working on the first time travel machine. Some mobsters have shown interest in the machine for their own selfish purposes. Suddenly, the alarm sounds as the mobsters have breached the security system. The CEO of the company demands that we go back in time and save the machine and the company. We liked the scenario as it’s well detailed and has a clear goal!
The decors were fine but looked very similar to the room Spaceship Mysteries, which we had done right before this one. So the effect of surprise wasn’t there. The second room was weird; we weren’t sure what its purpose was. We thought they could have done more with the decors. Music was also missing, and we could hear everyone in the lobby, which was distracting.

The puzzles were okay but we were not too impressed. It was a mix of traditional locks and automatic mechanisms. They reused the same puzzle logic four times, which is a big no for us. But there was one puzzle near the end that we thought was well thought out and really fun! The game master was coming into the room to give hints.
Overall, this isn’t our favorite room because the decors were too similar to another room and the puzzles weren’t that great. It’s family-friendly and better for groups of 2-3 people. We are happy with our performance as we completed the room with some time to spare and only asked for one hint. We liked it okay and we escaped.
