The Tallest Tower was the first room we did that evening at Exit in Kamloops. In this scenario, a long time ago, the tallest tower of a castle was cursed by a sorcerer who was obsessed with her reflection in mirrors. Because of her magic powers, the tower is trapped in the mirror realm, and now the surrounding village has been engulfed by the curse. It’s up to us to venture into the tower, find the sorcerer’s hand mirror, and break the curse. We liked the scenario as it’s well-detailed with a clear goal.
The decors were okay, but we were not really impressed. The style of each room didn’t match at all; it felt like it wasn’t the same escape room. Also, we noticed that they used some accessories from a previous room. The immersion was also affected by all the noise coming from the hall.

We were not impressed by the puzzles either. They were related to the theme, but there weren’t that many of them. Most were single-step puzzles, and it was mostly traditional locks. For hints, the game master came into the room to help. We are not fans of this way of giving hints.
Overall, we didn’t like this room that much because the decors were too basic, and the puzzles were boring. It’s family-friendly and better suited for groups of 2-3 people. We are happy with our performance as we finished with some time to spare and only asked for one hint. We didn’t like the room, but we escaped anyway.
