Frank’s Revenge was the last room we did at Escape City in Edmonton. In this scenario, our uncle Frank passed away. He wanted to donate his inheritance but with the help of our family, we cut a deal with the lawyers to make sure that the inheritance would fall into our hands. Initially, we were rich, and everything was going well, but soon enough, things got strange. Are we going to be able to break the curse? We liked the scenario because it has a unique twist and it is mysterious.
The decors were nice and a little creepy. It’s not at all that scary; it just has an unsettling atmosphere. The first room’s decor was a bit basic, but it’s hard to impress when it’s an office. We liked the second room better. We appreciated the music playing and how they incorporated the story into the game with a video.

The puzzles were fun but a bit uneven. In the first room, there weren’t that many puzzles, and it was mostly about placing things in the right place. The second room had more puzzles, and they were harder. The puzzles were mostly related to the theme and involved automatic mechanisms. The game master was giving hints via audio, but for our second hint, he came into the room to help, which was a bit weird.
Overall, we liked the room as the decors were good and most of the puzzles were fun to solve! It’s slightly creepy, so maybe kids would find it scary, and it’s better suited for smaller groups of 2-3 people. We are happy with our performance as we completed the room with time to spare and only asked for two hints. We liked it, and we escaped!
