Dracula’s library – Captive

Overall, we enjoyed the room thanks to the fun puzzles and good decor. It’s a family-friendly experience that’s best suited for groups of 2–3 players. We were happy with our performance because we escaped quickly, even though we did ask for two hints. We enjoyed it, and we escaped!

Escape with Usavich – Mayze

Overall, we did not enjoy this room as much as others mainly because of the worn décor and a few weaker puzzle moments. However, the theme itself is original and different from what you usually see. It is a family friendly game and better suited for groups of two to three people. We completed the room quickly but needed two hints. We liked it okay and we escaped!

Shipwrecked – Unlocked Ottawa

Overall, we really enjoyed this room, especially because the puzzles were varied, challenging, and well designed. It is family friendly since it is not scary and you can choose the difficulty level that suits your group. The expert mode is better suited for groups of four, as it is non linear and quite demanding. We are not completely satisfied with our performance since we finished with only a few seconds left and needed three hints. Still, we liked it and we escaped!

Madder tea party – Ichabod’s escape

To conclude, we enjoyed this escape game for its playful storyline, well-crafted decor, strong immersion, and fun puzzles. We recommend this room for families with children or small groups of 2–3 friends. We’re happy with our performance, as we finished with a good time and only asked for two hints. We liked the room—and we escaped!

Escape the witch – Alcatraz escape rooms

Overall, we liked the room okay —we enjoyed the puzzles, but we were disappointed by the set design. We recommend doing this room in a small group of friends and not with young children, as it could be too scary for them. We’re satisfied with our performance because we finished within a good time and only asked for one hint. We liked it okay—and we escaped!

13 doors – Captive

Overall, we liked the room, but we wished there were more than one room and a higher puzzle difficulty. It’s a family-friendly experience, better suited for smaller groups or beginners. We are happy with our performance because we completed the room quickly, but we did have to ask for a hint 2 times. We liked it okay—and we escaped!

The final viewing – Escape manor Hintonburg

Overall, if you’re looking for a truly scary escape room, this one is perfect for you! Since we aren’t big fans of horror rooms, it wasn’t as enjoyable for us but we can recognize that it is really well done. It’s definitely not family-friendly and is best suited for groups of four brave players. We were unhappy with our performance—we didn’t complete the room! In the end, we liked it okay, but we didn’t escape.
