The Galaxy defenders was the first room that we’ve done at Xperience in Kelowna! In this scenario, we are travelling the galaxy to save aliens from planet devastation. Our accomplishments have gotten some attention and we were given a mission. We have to find what they call the energy crystal from an abandoned spaceship. We thought that the scenario was well detailed with a clear goal and a unique twist.
The decors were fine but we were not too impressed with the finishing. Indeed, we could see cables sticking out of walls and furnitures. Most things were made out of wood and didn’t look like a real spaceship. One tiny detail that we didn’t really like is that there’s no lockers for our stuff which meant that we had to have our stuff in the room with us.

This escape room is 100% tech base which means that there’s no traditional locks and all are automatic mechanisms and manipulation puzzles. It’s their easiest room so the puzzles were very easy to solve. This room is also linear so it’s better for smaller groups. The hints are given with the use of an ipad which means that there’s no game master following our progress. We didn’t like the ipad as it was most of the time giving useless hints. Also, when you are done with the room, you’ll find a small paper saying that you won.
Overall, it’s an okay room but clearly not our favorite. It could be fine for small groups of beginners and families as it isn’t scary at all. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a great time without asking for any hints. We liked it okay and we escaped!
