We’ve done the avalanche and arcade frenzy rooms at this location in the afternoon and we decided to come back that same evening to finish them all! My sister Sophie, who is as addicted to escape rooms as Gael and I are, was visiting and her favorite escape rooms are the scary ones! So this one turned out to be her favorite at this location but we actually all liked it!

The scenario is bringing us to the worst crime scene of our career. We are specialist scientists and detectives that will try to find the murderer of Ralph Gibson, the local meat market owner. It’s a classic crime solving escape room but with their own twist. The story is believable and realistic which is important when doing this type of room.

The decors were awesome, it was creepy and gross and that’s what was needed! We thought that we entered an actual meat market with many elements and details that made the immersion even better. One thing that we didn’t like was all the do not touch stickers that they placed everywhere and on many objects. We understand that it’s annoying to have to put back everything after each team but it was literally on every single item that wasn’t needed for the game. So it was easy for us to see what was a clue and what was not. To make up for this, there is one decor element that is absolutely insane, so surprising and unique.

The puzzles were amazing and all related to the theme. There was a nice variety of puzzles and good balance between locks and automatic mechanisms. It’s not a linear room so you’ll always have something to do. We prefer doing escape rooms as a small group just because we don’t want to miss anything. So we recommend 2-4 people but it would be the kind of room that can be done with a larger group for sure.

When we needed hints, the game master was coming inside the room to help. This is also another thing that will disrupt the immersion. There’s so many easy options that could have been better than that.

We didn’t escape but we were so close as we had only one puzzle left to solve. We loved this room anyway, it’s the perfect mix of great puzzles, amazing decor and good scenario! We loved it but didn’t escape!
