Choco was the fourth room we completed that day at Exode Évasion in Québec City! In this scenario, all the candy businesses are going bankrupt ever since Choco, the new candy company, opened up in town. Everyone is going crazy over their sweet treats. We suspect something is wrong with this factory, so we decide to break in and uncover their secret ingredient. We liked the scenario because it’s well-detailed and has a clear goal!
The decor was nice and well-done! We had high expectations for Exode because the room we had done before were amazing. It was really colorful, with great attention to details. The only downside was that the purpose of the first room wasn’t entirely clear to me. I felt like something was missing to make it look more like a sweet store.

The puzzles were fun to solve and all related to the theme. The balance between traditional locks and automatic mechanisms was perfect. There was a nice variety of logic, and we didn’t find the puzzles too easy. To get hints, we contacted the game master by phone, and they replied while impersonating a character related to the theme.
Overall, we liked the room because the decor was great, and the puzzles were enjoyable to solve! It’s a family-friendly room and better suited for smaller groups of 2-3 people. We’re happy with our performance as we completed the room with some time to spare and only asked for one hint. We liked it and we escaped!
