We went to Escape Emporium in Edmonton in July 2022 and were able to try 3 out of their 4 rooms. We decided not to do the remaining room because, upon entering, we noticed it was identical to another game we had previously played in Kelowna, BC. We know for certain that three of their rooms were purchased from another company, so if you’ve done a lot of escape rooms like us, it’s possible you’ve already encountered these games elsewhere.

The decors were well done in each room, though none of them stood out as particularly exceptional. The puzzles were enjoyable to solve but leaned toward the more traditional side—nothing too original or surprising, but still satisfying. Hints were provided through a screen, which worked well for us. We also received good customer service, and the location itself was clean and well-maintained although it was missing lockers to keep our belongings in.

In conclusion, Escape Emporium is a fine choice for those who are newer to escape rooms or for families looking for a fun and accessible experience. While it might not offer anything groundbreaking for more experienced players, the rooms are still enjoyable and well put together. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and haven’t played these games before.
