Zone morte was our third escape room of the day at À double tour. It’s definitely their hardest room as it has a huge amount of complex puzzles and many rooms. In this scenario, we are spies hired to investigate on Enigma, the company potentially responsable for the 2016 pandemic. We have 60 min to find all the evidence from their abandoned laboratories. This is a classic scenario in escape rooms and we liked what they did with it at À double tour.
The decors were simply amazing. First, there are so many rooms and all the details and finishing touches were just perfect. We were very impressed with all the work they’ve put into the set design of this room. The theme and decor are creepy but we didn’t think it was that scary either. It’s probably better suited for teenager and adults anyway though.

The puzzles were all fun to solve and well thought. There was a nice variety of logics and mechanisms. The balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms and physical puzzles was perfect. We also thought that the difficulty level of the puzzles was quite high. In this game, there are a lot of puzzles to solve so it’s better for bigger groups. For the hints, the game master will meet you in character in the lobby to bring you to the room. We could ask for hints through a phone but we had to use our team name otherwise the game master wouldn’t answer. We got an amazing game master that day, it was a great experience especially because of him!
Overall, this is an amazing escape room that everyone will enjoys for sure. We are happy with our performance even if we didn’t finish because we thought it was quite hard and we were only 3 people. We loved it but didn’t escape!
