Walden’s Wizarding was the second room we played at Looking Glass Adventures on May 19th, 2024. In this scenario, Walden’s shop is known for having everything a wizard could need—but something feels off. The shop is unattended, and dark forces seem to be closing in. While we enjoyed the magical theme, we felt the scenario could have benefited from a few more details or a unique twist to make it stand out more.
The decor was one of the highlights of the experience. Beautiful, realistic, and full of charming details, the room truly felt like a wizard’s shop. The space was well used and filled with magical accessories that made the environment feel rich and immersive. We especially appreciated that the area leading up to the room was also decorated in theme—it helped set the mood before the game even began. The background music added a nice atmospheric touch throughout.

The puzzles were fun and all connected to the theme. Most of them involved traditional locks, and a few automatic mechanisms. We appreciated the variety and creativity of the puzzles—some were so unique that they stood out to us afterward as memorable highlights. Hints were delivered via walkie talkie, though the game master didn’t take on a character role.
Overall, we had a fantastic time in this room. The whimsical decor and engaging puzzles made for a magical and entertaining experience. It’s a family-friendly adventure that’s best suited for groups of 2-3 people. We’re proud of our performance—we finished with a great time and only asked for one hint. We loved it, and we escaped!
