The tornado shack is the second room that we’ve done at Lock down. In this scenario, you decide to go to your grandfather’s old shack with your friends when a big storm hits out of nowhere. The old shack won’t hold for long as the storm gets more violent by the minute. We have to find a way out and get to safety in the bunker outside before it’s too late.

It was our first time in a motion game and it was such a fun experience! We liked the theme and thought it was perfect for a motion game. The decors were overall well done. You start the escape room in the old shack which is the motion part of this game. Indeed, the whole room is moving to mimic the strong wind. We were impressed about how realistic the motion effect is and also about all the technical challenges of creating a room like that. But if you have motion sickness, it might not be the right escape room for you. The immersion is at the highest point in this room with the motion effect, draught and water.

The hints were given with a walkie talkie. It’s not our favorite way of giving hints but it’s not the worst either. We thought that there was a good amount of puzzles considering the size of the rooms. The puzzle were complex, fun and related to the theme. It was mostly physical puzzles and automatic mechanisms in the first room but there were locks in the second room. Besides, this place also has a smart and unique way of calculating each group’s performance that we thought was fair.

Overall, we all recommend trying this escape room since a motion room is quite rare but also because it’s fun and the puzzles are great! We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time and didn’t ask for any hints. We loved it and we escaped!
