The Lost Treasure was the seventh room we played that day at Enigma Escape Room. In this scenario, you set sail for the Caribbean in search of a legendary treasure. Your mission is to outsmart rival treasure hunters, uncover hidden clues, and claim the Ruby Skull before time runs out. You have 60 minutes to complete the adventure and secure the treasure for yourselves. While the objective is very clear, we found the storyline to be quite generic and lacking in detail. We were hoping for a stronger narrative and a more unique or creative twist to make the adventure stand out.

The decor was decent, with several nice elements throughout the room, but it felt fairly basic overall. Rather than feeling like we were aboard a pirate ship or exploring a hidden island, it felt more like a room decorated with a pirate theme. Much like the storyline, the environment lacked a bit of personality and originality. That being said, the props and accessories were well done, everything was in good condition, and the overall execution was good. We also enjoyed the background music, which helped with the immersion.

We enjoyed the puzzles more than the decor. They were fun to solve, well varied, and there were plenty of them to keep us busy. The room relied mostly on traditional locks, with a few automated mechanisms mixed in, which we did not mind at all. The puzzles were generally on the easier side, making this an excellent room for families and younger players. Since the game was linear and the puzzles were fairly straightforward, we moved through it quickly. Because the room already uses many lock-based puzzles, we think it could easily support a more challenging version by incorporating a few more complex puzzles. Hints were provided by the game master through a walkie-talkie system.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience, although we felt the decor and storyline could have been developed further. The puzzles were fun, accessible, and well suited for the target audience. This is an excellent room for families and children, and it works best for smaller groups of two to three players. We were happy with our performance, as we completed the room quickly and only needed one hint. We enjoyed it and escaped!
