The Graveyard was the second room we did that evening at Next Level escape rooms in Hamilton. In this scenario, over 150 years ago in a small village in Ontario, three women were accused of being witches and were burned at the stake. A few days later, a woman claiming that her body was possessed entered the town cemetery, and according to witnesses, she appeared to be casting a curse on her ancestors’ tomb. Since that day, the water in the town turned red! Legends say that when you enter the graveyard, you are automatically cursed and must solve the graveyard mysteries to break the curse. We have 60 minutes until our souls are swallowed by the graveyard forever. We liked the scenario because it’s well detailed, mysterious, and has a clear goal!

The decor was amazing and so realistic. We thought they did a fantastic job of creating the illusion that we were outside, and they also set a creepy atmosphere without it being too scary. We were really impressed with the overall immersion and enjoyed the music playing during the game. On a different note, we thought the graphic design used to present each room on their website was beautiful and unique!

The puzzles were well thought out and all related to the theme. It was a mix of traditional locks and automatic mechanisms. The room was non-linear, so we were able to work on multiple puzzles at the same time. We were impressed by how creative the puzzles were and how they connected to the story. The hints were given via walkie-talkie, which was fine.

Overall, we loved the room because the puzzles were amazing, and the immersion and decor were so creative and impressive! We highly recommend this room for everyone! It’s family-friendly and better suited for groups of 2-3 people. We are happy with our performance because we completed the room with time to spare and only asked for one hint. We loved it, and we escaped!
