We are beginning our stay in Calgary with the Carnaval at Trapped. In this scenario, the carnaval arrived in town and we came to see the main attraction : the fortune teller. However, when we enter, we are transported into another world wit strange creatures. We are trapped in this carnaval unless we can find the fortune teller to have our fate revealed. We liked this scenario because of its unique theme.
We enter the first room blindfolded and listen to the introduction story. The decors are great and realistic. There are many rooms to discover with a very unique way to enter each new room. If you are scared of clowns, this escape room will haunt you for the rest of your life. Also, there is an actor, many jump-scares and creepy music so it’s at a really high level of scariness.

The hints are given with a talkie walkie which is fine. Our game master was very passionate about escape room so we had amazing customer service with him. As for the puzzles, it was mostly automatic mechanisms and not many locks. They were all related to the theme and quite complex.
Overall, if you enjoy scary escape rooms with actors, you will have a lot of fun with this room! All 3 of us recommend it as we had a good time even if we were terrified. We are satisfied of our performance as we escaped and asked only for 2 hints. We liked it and we escaped!
