The Body Shop was the only room we played at Red Fox Escape in Cambridge, and it completely blew us away! In this scenario, rumors have been spreading for years about a secret Girl Scout troop operating in Cambridge and Boston. You’ve been earning your automotive engineering badge at the local auto body shop — which just happens to be run by the high council of this mysterious troop. After receiving an invitation to return, you have one hour to prove you’re worthy of joining their secret society. We thought this scenario was incredibly unique and creative — detailed, original, and with a clear goal that instantly hooked us.

The set design was outstanding. The room looked exactly like a real garage, filled with authentic tools, car parts, and clever details that made the space feel alive. Every corner served a purpose and tied perfectly into the story. The immersion was top-tier — from the lighting and sound design to the background music and realistic props. The overall execution showed a lot of care and creativity, and it was one of the most convincing environments we’ve seen.

The puzzles were equally impressive. Every challenge was connected to the story and made sense within the setting. There was a great mix of traditional locks, automatic mechanisms, and hands-on manipulation puzzles. The game was non-linear, which allowed us to divide tasks and keep everyone busy — perfect for larger groups. The difficulty level felt well-balanced: some puzzles were tricky, but the logic was always clear. We even encountered a hilarious “prank puzzle” that added a fun surprise! Hints were provided live by the game master on a screen.

Overall, we loved this escape room. The set design was realistic and immersive, the puzzles were clever and varied, and the story was refreshingly original. It’s not really scary, but likely too challenging for kids — we recommend it for groups of 2–3 players. We’re proud of our run since we escaped with only one hint. we loved it and we escaped!
