This was the second room that we’ve done at Room escape Ottawa. We really liked the first one so the bar was high! In this scenario, we are on way back to earth but our spaceship engine fail and we crash on an alien planet. While exploring the planet, we find an alien spaceship which could bring us home if we figure out how it works. And we have to figure it out before we run out of oxygen! This is a great classic theme and scenario in my opinion.
The decors are well done with a very unique thing that got us by surprise! But aside from that, we think that it could have been more detailed and refined. One thing that is very impressive at this location is that their rooms are huge with very high ceiling. It gives them a lot of possibilities with their decors.

In this room, all the puzzles are physical/manipulation puzzles. Which means that for a few of them, you will solve them with luck without really understanding what happened. Personally, I think that it can become frustrating with time and I get bored quickly when it’s all the same. I prefer when there are more varieties of puzzles. The hints were given on a screen which is a fine way to do it.
Overall, I recommend this room for people who prefer physical and manipulation puzzles. It’s a good room for a team of 4 people and it’s family friendly. We liked it and we escaped!
