Sherlock’s despair is the only room that we’ve done at Breakin’ in London! In this scenario, Sherlock Holmes has been found dead. It gives James Moriarty the opportunity to move along with his evil plan of world domination. We receive an anonymous telegram telling us that a file about Moriarty’s plan is hidden in Sherlock’s apartment. We have 60min to find it and bring it to Scotland yard. This is a good scenario with lots of details and a unique twist.
The decors were fine with some nice touches that reminded us of Sherlock’s apartment. The only downside is that it’s only one room. The outside part of the door was decorated according to the theme which is always something we like. We were also not very impressed with the customer service. The game master was a bit rude and just didn’t seem happy to work that night. We also didn’t like that the game master came in the room to explain the rules. It could be done before entering the room.

This room is the hardest at this location and we agreed as the puzzles weren’t easy. It was mostly 4 digit locks and many math related puzzles. We thought that they were fun to solve and quite complex with more than on steps sometimes. We were asking for hints using a walkie talkie and the game master would send clues through an ipad. We thought it would probably be faster to just reply with the walkie talkie.
Overall, it’s a fun and challenging room. It’s not scary at all so it’s family friendly, although the puzzles may be too hard for kids. We are happy with our performance as it wasn’t easy and we managed to finish anyway with an okay time. We liked it and we escaped!
