Rain Corp was the third room we completed that day at Escaparium Laval. In this scenario, Rain Corp is a multinational conglomerate specializing in advanced robotics. The company has developed revolutionary military applications at the request of the world’s greatest powers. Fearing that this might threaten international security, provisions aimed at countering Rain Corp have been voted on at the NATO council. However, the company seems to have lost control over its research. It may already be too late… We liked the scenario because it was well-detailed and had a clear goal.
The decor was incredibly impressive and felt like being on the set of a movie. We had never seen anything this big and realistic before. The creators really went above and beyond with the decor and immersion for this room. The use of technologies in this room is completely mind blowing. We don’t want to give any spoilers, but this room is a must-try just to experience the immersion and see the incredible decor.

The puzzles were fun, but the first part of the game mostly involved tasks to accomplish. We relied heavily on the game master to guide us on what to do next, except in the last room, so the flow wasn’t as smooth. The room featured only automatic mechanisms and manipulation puzzles. The construction and technology behind some puzzles were very impressive. The way of giving hints was insane; we have never seen anything like it. We can’t reveal what it is because the surprise is too good! It was so fun and brought the game to another level.
Overall, we liked this room because the decor, immersion, and way of giving hints were incredible. The puzzles weren’t our favorites, but they were still pretty good, especially those in the last room. It can be slightly scary for kids but is not too bad and is better suited for groups of four people. We were happy with our performance because we completed the game with time to spare, though we had a lot of help with hints. We enjoyed it and we escaped!
