We continued our day at Escapology in London with Lost City. In this scenario, Archibald Tucker was one of the greatest explorers of the 1930s. He is said to have discovered a treasure so rare that no living person had ever seen it! However, a sudden gust of wind slammed the temple door shut, trapping Tucker and his journal inside. Since then, they’ve never been seen again. Now, your research has led you to the lost journal, which holds the secrets to finding the treasure. But once inside the temple, angry spirits awaken and deem you unworthy of the riches it hides… As a test, they give you 60 minutes to prove your worth. The storyline is fairly classic, but it’s well detailed and the goal is clear.
Before starting the escape game, you enter the first room and watch a video that explains the rules and the story. The set design is well crafted and highly realistic—you truly feel like you’re inside an ancient temple. The attention to detail and finishing touches were impressive, with everything looking pristine and impeccably maintained. The space was used cleverly, making the environment feel both immersive and expansive. There’s also music that matches the theme.

There are plenty of puzzles in this room, though the difficulty level is moderate, with some puzzles being quite easy. They still require some thought and all follow a logical structure. All of them are closely related to the theme. It’s a linear room, so you can only work on one puzzle at a time. Most of the puzzles involve traditional locks, but there are also a few automatic mechanisms. Hints are provided by pressing a button, and they appear on the same screen used for the intro video in the first room.
Overall, we really enjoyed this escape room because the set design was realistic, the immersion was strong, and the puzzles were genuinely fun to solve. We recommend it for families or small groups of 2 or 3 people. We’re very happy with our performance, as we completed the room in excellent time without asking for any hints. We liked it—and we escaped!
