CSI Clue Edition was the second room we tried at Room Escape Atlantic. In this scenario, we were called to investigate a multiple homicide at Clue Mansion. Our task was to uncover who killed Mr. Boddy, in which room, and with which weapon. We were really excited to try a Clue-themed escape room. While the scenario matched the theme well, we felt it could have been more detailed.

The decor was beautiful and matched the theme, but we were disappointed that it consisted of only one room. They could have easily divided the space into two rooms. At the beginning of the game, the game master joined us to give instructions. We prefer receiving instructions and the scenario before entering the room, as it helps immerse us in the story and prevents disruption of immersion. However, we did enjoy the music played during the game, though it was a shame that we could still hear people in the entrance area.

The puzzles were fairly simple but enjoyable! It was one of the most linear room we’ve encountered, meaning that once you solve a puzzle, everything needed to solve the next one is found there. It would have been better if they mixed their clues to make it less predictable and slightly more complex. We appreciated how all the puzzles were connected to the theme. Only, traditional locks were used in this room. For hints, we could call the game master using a phone.

Overall, we liked this escape room because the puzzles were fun and the decor was nice. It’s not scary at all, so it would work well with families. Moreover, this location is really family oriented so any rooms will be fun for children. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time without asking for hints. We liked it and we escaped!
