Our day continues at Exit-Surrey with the room Cabin 13. In this scenario, we decide to go spend the week-end at our grand-parents cabin with your friends. During the full moon night, we explore the forest and see a wolf! We run back inside the cabin and close the door. We find a hidden stairway going to the basement and we decide to explore that. Strangely, there’s a well in the middle of the basement. Unfortunately, it’s too deep for us to see anything but we can smell a very gross and strong smell. We also noticed around the room that there’s creepy portrait and sentences written in Latin. One of our friends manages to translate and reads it out loud. We feel a cold breeze going around the room and suddenly all the doors and windows lock behind us. This is a very detailed story but to be honest I don’t find it that believable. It feels like they tried too hard to have a unique storyline.

The decors were well done and quite realistic. The immersion wasn’t the best as there wasn’t any music playing so we could easily hear people doing the other rooms. It’s a horror theme with creepy decor and ambiance but there aren’t any jump scares. So it’s not that scary, but just enough to keep us on our toes.
The puzzles were fairly complex and all related to the theme. We also liked the variety of logics of all the puzzles. When you enter each new room, there’s always a sign to tell us with which puzzle to start. We understand why they do this but we don’t really like it. For the hints, the game master will come in to help us. We don’t like this method of giving hints as there are so many other better ways to do it.
Overall, this is a nice room with great puzzles! If you like creepy theme, this is a good room for you! We are so disappointed with our performance as we asked for too many hints and didn’t finished, although we were fairly close to. We liked it but we didn’t escape!
