Biohazard was the second room that we’ve done at Exit in Kelowna. In this scenario, in a small town in Finland, people have been experiencing weird symptoms like violent outbursts, drastic mood swings, and impulsive actions. These outbursts started completely out of nowhere. A team of scientists have been doing clinical trials to help people with Manic Depressive disorders. The public has been begging for a cure for weeks but no one has heard from the scientists for a long time. With our team, we decide to go investigate. Not long after entering the facility, we start to feel lightheaded. The door locks behind us so the only way is forward. We have to find out the truth before it’s too late for the whole community and us!
You get dropped into the room without much introduction, so it was good we knew the backstory of the room. It’s a nice room but it could take advantage of a little upgrade to make it even more immersive. We had some issues understanding why some props were there. It didn’t really match the story. But we liked the music that was playing, it was creating a nice ambiance.

There were a lot of post-it notes giving out hints for all the puzzles, it was a little bit too much for us. Puzzles were well diversified and well thought. There was also a good balance between locks and magic. For the hints, we call the game master through the intercom and they come in to help.
Overall, we were not really impressed with the room but the puzzles were fun so we still had a good time. It may be a little too creepy for younger kids but it’s not that bad. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time. We liked it and we escaped!
