Tyranno Industries was the fourth room we played at Escaparium West Island on May 20, 2024. In this scenario, you and your team are hired to infiltrate Tyranno Corp’s research island in the Philippines to retrieve three embryos they have genetically engineered. However, we soon discover that Tyranno Corp might be further ahead in their experiments than expected—and there may be dinosaurs roaming the island! Our mission: grab the embryos and escape before becoming dinner. We liked the scenario overall, although we felt it could have used a bit more of a unique twist to really stand out.

The decor was beautiful, especially in the first room, which featured very high ceilings and looked like a movie set. We were genuinely impressed by the high quality of the set design and the realism of the dinosaur props. The environments matched the story perfectly and added a lot to the immersion. While the website mentions a two-star rating for scariness, we didn’t find the room scary at all—it’s much more adventurous than frightening. One small downside was that, even with background music playing, we could sometimes hear other groups playing nearby, which broke the immersion slightly.

The puzzles were fun to solve and closely related to the theme and storyline. The room featured only automatic mechanisms (no traditional locks), and it was a non-linear experience, meaning multiple puzzles could be worked on simultaneously. We appreciated the busy start of the game, although there were noticeably fewer puzzles in the second and third rooms. A charming detail we loved: hints were given by one of the dinosaurs in the game, which was absolutely adorable!

Overall, we really enjoyed this room thanks to its impressive decor and engaging puzzles. It’s a family-friendly adventure, though some younger children might find a few moments slightly nerve-wracking. We recommend it for groups of 4 people for the best experience. We’re proud of our performance—we completed the room with a good time and only asked for one hint. We liked it, and we escaped!
