The Exorcist was the third room that we’ve done at Enigma Escape Game. In this scenario, news has spread that a small child is trapped in a mysterious house. We hear cries for help, so with the help of our friends, we run into the house to save the child—but something isn’t right. We hear strange noises and it feels like we are not alone. Will we be able to save the child? The scenario is a classic haunted house theme that is well detailed and has a clear goal!

The decors were well done, with great elements to create a creepy atmosphere. The purpose of the first room was unclear, but that became clearer in the second room. There were a couple of jumpscares, but it wasn’t too scary overall. The unsettling music was a great choice! We also appreciated that they decorated the outside entry area as well. The only downside was that the room wasn’t well soundproofed, so we could hear children running and screaming from the hallway.

The puzzles were fun to solve, and most were related to the theme and story—except for one that didn’t make sense at all. The game started as a linear experience, but it became non-linear toward the end. It featured a mix of traditional locks, automatic mechanisms, and manipulation puzzles. Hints were either provided through a book or could be requested from the game master via walkie-talkie.

Overall, we liked the room because the decor and creepy atmosphere were well executed and the puzzles were fun! It’s not overly frightening, but kids might find it too scary. It’s better suited for groups of 2–3 people. We’re happy with our performance because we completed the room with a good time and only asked for one hint. We liked it and we escaped!
