Spaceship Mysteries was the first room that we did at Time Escape that day. In this scenario, we are a team of scientific astronauts on our way to the moon to resolve a long-kept secret. Buried in the moon’s sand is a spacecraft packed with alien technologies and mysteries. It was revealed that a lethal toxin is contained in the spaceship, killing humans in seconds. Thankfully, we have technologies that can protect us for 50 minutes. Our goal is to retrieve the spaceship’s secrets and escape safely. We thought this was a good, classic scenario with a clear goal.

The decors were nice, but it was missing a bit of attention to details and realism. Some accessories were great, and we could tell that the creators were very imaginative. However, many things were marked as “do not touch,” which disrupted the immersion. We could also hear people screaming from the other rooms, which wasn’t great for the immersion either.

The puzzles were fun to solve and fairly challenging, which we like. The balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms, and manipulation puzzles was good. Most of the puzzles were related to the theme. The only downsides were that they used the same puzzle twice, and one button from a puzzle was so sticky that it was gross! To get hints, the game master came into the room, which isn’t our favorite way of receiving hints.

Overall, we liked the room, especially because of the puzzles! It’s family-friendly and better suited for groups of four people. We are happy with our performance as we escaped with a little bit of time to spare and only asked for one hint. We liked it and we escaped!
