Our day continues at Exit in Chilliwack with Cabin in the Woods. In this scenario, you are part of a search team to find Stacy Smithe, who was last seen hiking in Hawthorn Woods. Something in this forest seems unwelcoming, as if someone hidden in the shadows is watching your every move. Suddenly, you and your friends lose track of the rest of the group. Night falls, and you still haven’t found your way out of the woods. You find yourselves in front of a wooden cabin hidden in the forest, which seems to be your only chance to escape, or maybe not? We liked the scenario because it’s well detailed and it has a clear goal.
The decors are well done as they are quite realistic. We also liked that there was multiple rooms. The background music is creepy and really helps creating a scary atmosphere. The immersion is complete in this escape room with the great decors and the music playing.

The puzzles didn’t really impress us in this game. Some even lack logic in our opinion. It’s a mix of traditional locks and automatic mechanisms. The game master enters the room to give hints, which isn’t our preferred method.
Overall, this room isn’t our favorite because we didn’t like the puzzles that much but they created great decors and atmosphere. It’s better suited for small groups of 2-3 people. It may be too scary for young kids but teenager might like it! We are happy with our performance because we finished with a good time and only asked for 1 hint. We liked it okay and we escaped!
