We continue our evening at Confined in Calgary with Frankenstein. In this scenario, you get lost in this immersive adventure in the science fiction universe by discovering the doctor’s secret experiments and using his technologies to revive his most ambitious creation to date: Frankenstein! This is a fun scenario but maybe missing a bit of a unique twist.
The decors are well done and impressive especially all the machines that they built for the rooms. The theme is original, and the purpose of this room is very clear. The only downside is that they weren’t many rooms in this escape game. But they exploited the steampunk style perfectly.
The puzzles are all related to the theme and are mainly manipulation games. The game master had left his keys on a padlock that is used to activate a puzzle, and we wasted our time wondering if it was part of the game or not. Clues are given on a television screen when you ask aloud. It’s not our preferred method, but it’s not the worst. The game master stops the time while writing the clue.
Overall, we liked this escape game because the sets are really beautiful but the puzzles weren’t our favorite. Gael recommends this room because he thought that the decors and machine were very impressive. We are not very happy with our performance because we finished with just a few minutes left and we asked for 4 hints. We liked it and we escaped!
