The island was our first escape room since the pandemic started in March, so we were really excited to have a full evening booked with escape rooms! It was our first time at the location but we’ve been to exit before in Vancouver. We are not always impressed with their rooms and puzzles so we didn’t know what to expect. Although, the 3 scenarios we picked seemed unique and fun!

In this scenario, we are survivor of a plane crash, lost alone on an island. We have to find food, shelter and a way to get out! There wasn’t any storytelling before starting the room which doesn’t help the immersion.

The decors were nice, although what they did with the walls was not really convincing. We are used now to escape rooms with realistic decors and teams that go above and beyond to create the best immersion possible so we thought it wasn’t that great here. But we do have to admit that the accessories were nice!

For the puzzles, there was a nice balance between automatic puzzles and locks which is always what I prefer. Too much of one or the other isn’t as fun! There was a good amount of puzzles and a nice variety of logics. For the hints, we call our game master with the intercom and they come in to help. This room is great for beginners, families and groups of 2-3 people. We escaped and we liked it!
