Operation Flamingo was the third room we played that day at Looking Glass Adventures! In this scenario, attention all secret agents: you and your team have parachuted into a quiet residential area in Florida with a mission to infiltrate a house. You have just one hour to extract dangerous items and escape. We loved the theme and the idea behind this room, but we felt the scenario itself was a bit short and missing some details.
The decor in the first room was hilarious and incredibly original—we’ve never seen anything like it before. It looked exactly like a campsite and captured the 80s vibe perfectly. However, the second room was a bit disappointing, as it felt quite empty and lost the fun, kitschy atmosphere of the first space. We wish they had added more furniture and objects to maintain the realism and personality. That said, we really enjoyed the background music throughout the game.

The puzzles were fun to solve and all related to the theme and story. There were many puzzles in the first room, but fewer in the second. The room used a mix of traditional locks and automatic mechanisms. We thought the puzzles were clever and they were well integrated to the decor. We especially enjoyed the variety and humor woven into the puzzles—it was brilliant! Hints were provided by the game master via walkie-talkie.
Overall, we really enjoyed this room, and it could have been one of our favorites if the second room had lived up to the first. It’s a family-friendly room best suited for small groups of 2–3 players. We’re happy with our performance, as we completed the room quickly and only asked for one hint. We liked it—and we escaped!
