We continue our evening at Exit Abbotsford with Mission impossible. In this scenario, we are secret agents hired to infiltrate the FEAR headquarters. We have to find the antidote of a lethal virus to save humanity! We thought the scenario was a bit simple and was missing a unique twist. Although, saving humanity is a classic in escape rooms and it’s a motivating goal.

The decors were basic and were missing a wow factor. There were 3 rooms which is great but the ending was odd. It felt like there was supposed to be another room. The first room was some sort of an office and the other rooms didn’t seem to have a specific function to it. It was also disappointing to not have any music playing during the game. On the positive side, one accessory made us laugh so much, it was brilliant!

The puzzles were well done and all related to the theme. There was a nice balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms and manipulation puzzles. One puzzle in particular was impressive with multiple steps and so fun to solve. For the hints, the game master was entering the room to help us which isn’t our favourite way to give hints.

Overall, it’s a good escape room with basic decors and fun puzzles. We are still ashamed of our performance as we asked for too many hints! But we still managed to escape in time. It’s family friendly and better for a small group of people. We liked it okay and we escaped!
