– Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada
Haunted is our favorite escape room at this exit location. In this scenario, there’s an old and creepy house at the end of the street. Everyone believed that this abandoned house is haunted as we could hear sounds and see shadows through the windows. Years passed and we are no longer afraid of this house. We are now ready to go inside after being dared to stay there for one hour! We enter by the fenced door which closes and locks as soon as we passed it. Our only way out is to go through the house and get out from the back. There’s a small light shining in the window, is this house really abandoned?

As we enter the room, we are given the introduction story on a piece of paper which is a bit useless as it’s the same story written on the website. We prefer when the game master is telling us the story! The ambiance of each room is very creepy and it’s getting worst as we enter more rooms. The only downside is that there wasn’t any music, it would have been so much scarier with creepy music! The decors were well done but we could see some cables sticking out and the electrical panel, all these things could have been hidden better. Each rooms of the house had a purpose easily identifiable and the flow between the rooms was perfect.
For the hints, the game master was coming in the room to help us which isn’t a technique that we like. The puzzles had a nice variety of mechanisms and there was a good balance between locks, automatic and physical puzzles. All puzzles were related to the haunted house theme. We liked the puzzles a lot except the one that was damaged and slowed us down a bit.
Overall, if you like scary escape rooms, you will surely enjoy this one! We are satisfied of our performance as we only asked for one hint and we escaped with some time left. We liked it and we escaped!
