Cypherspace – Confundrum escape rooms

In this room, we are astronauts with the Canadian space agency and we have to retrieve a probe that has been collecting data for years. We have 60 minutes to accomplish our mission before the spaceship gets damaged by radioactivity.

The decors were well done but there was nothing really surprising or out of the ordinary. We knew that we were sort of in a spaceship but it could have been more detailed and realistic. It almost looked like we were in random space themed room rather than a specific room from a spaceship. However, I thought that they used the space well with the puzzles as clues were hidden on the walls, ceiling and floors.

There was a lot of puzzles and most were long ones to solve. We understand now why they were suggesting that it was better with 4 people because there is a lot to get done. I thought that it was (kinda) easy to figure out the logic of the puzzles. There was a nice balance between physical puzzles and logic ones and the puzzles were related to the theme.

The game master is giving us hint live from a computer and we can read it from a big screen. We just need to talk loud when we ask for hints.

We really enjoyed this room and would recommend it for 2 experienced escape artists or a group of 4-5 beginners. It’s family friendly although kids might find it hard to solve the puzzles. We liked it and we escape!
