We came back to this place after doing like 50 escape rooms during the same summer, while being on tour. We were not impressed at all with it, especially by the decor. In this scenario, we stopped on an island to find a treasure and while we are there, our enemies chained the steering wheel. We are drifting towards a reef so we have 60 minutes to turn the wheel and avoid problems!

The scenario is fine and believable, who doesn’t like a good pirate story!
The problem is with the decors. There’s nothing on the walls!! They have good and big wood accessories but the walls are only painted, so it feels like the mast is coming out of nowhere. I think that they lacked imagination and lost an easy opportunity to make something amazing. We never forgot that we were stuck in a building in downtown Vancouver.
Puzzles were great, considering it’s their easiest room, all related to the theme and fun to solve!

When you want hints, you point the flashlight to the camera and the game master will talk to you on your talkie walkie. I think it’s an okay way to give hints as the person can help you with what you are stuck on instead of a machine telling you something you already know. That way the flow of the room isn’t disturbed by someone entering the room.

Overall, we were a little disappointed by the decors and immersion. The puzzles were fun so we had a good time in the end. Knowing it’s their easiest room, we are not proud to say that we needed some extra minutes to finish. It’s a great room for beginners and it’s family friendly! We liked it okay and we escaped!

: Yes (kind of)
