The equation is the perfect example of a traditional room with locks, fun puzzles to solve and nice decors. The themes of the room are clearly maths and science, but don’t worry, everyone will be able to solve the puzzles without problems. Also, the room is available in french and english and it’s not scary at all so it’s family friendly.
In this scenario, we are investigators in charge of investigating a mysterious cold case. You realize after studying it for a little while that it’s the biggest deception in the science field. Are we going to be able to solve the mystery? We thought that the scenario was fairly basic and maybe missing a bit of details.
When we enter the game, we have to listen to a video explaining the rules and story. The timer will start after. We thought that the video was a bit long. We feel it could have been done more effectively either by a shorter video or the game master could explain de rules before entering the room.

The decors were nice but nothing too exciting in each room. But to be fair, with that theme, it’s hard to create something that will completely blow our minds. It was well done and all the accessories made the theme obvious in each room. We also loved how they hid the doors to the other rooms, that was really surprising!
What made us like this room is the puzzles as they are well diversified and there are a lot of them. And as mentioned earlier, they are all related to the math and science theme. Besides, you’ll have to try and remember some of the math notions you’ve learn at school for some puzzles. Moreover, we recommend this room only for small group of people as it’s a linear type of room. If you like traditional locks like me, you will have fun with this room!
And when you need a hint, you use a walkie talkie to contact the game master. It’s not our favorite way to do it but it works fine! Overall, it’s a fun room with great puzzles. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time. We liked it and we escaped!
