We are starting our evening with The Labyrinth at Labyrinth Escape Games in Aurora. In this scenario, the year is 2092, and a brand-new gaming experience has just been released. The Labyrinth is a game that disrupts the balance of human existence by fully immersing players in a digital world. Its creators have implemented numerous security measures to keep minds and bodies in the physical world intact. However, a next-generation computer virus has infiltrated the system, and you risk being trapped forever. Do you and your team have what it takes to escape before being deleted? The storyline is original, and the goal of the game is clear.

Before the escape game begins, the game master explains the rules and the story. Then, you enter the first room. The set design is beautiful and realistic, carefully crafted to make the game’s theme feel credible. It truly feels like a well-built labyrinth, with interesting and essential decorative elements that help guide players. We also enjoyed the music playing throughout the game, as it enhanced the immersion.

The puzzles start off easy but become more complex toward the end. The game could have been made slightly more challenging at the beginning by hiding certain objects, encouraging more exploration. There are a lot of puzzles to solve, all closely tied to the theme. The challenges are a mix of manipulation tasks and automated puzzles. The game is non-linear, allowing multiple players to work on different puzzles simultaneously. One particular puzzle physically requires four people to complete, but if your group is smaller, a game master will assist you. Hints are provided when you press a button at the entrance, after which the game master calls you on the personal phone number you provided before starting.

Overall, we enjoyed this escape room because of its well-designed sets and fun puzzles. We recommend playing with a family or a group of 4–5 friends, as there are many puzzles to solve, and one specific challenge requires this team size. We are satisfied with our performance, having completed the room in good time with only two hints. We liked it and we escaped!
