Enter the Bat Cave was the first room we did at Lift Lock Escape Room in Peterborough. The website states that our task is to enter the bat cave and recover a special suit. We liked the originality of the theme, but the scenario on the website lacked details and an actual story. However, a more detailed scenario is shared right before starting the game.
The decor was good, but we thought it looked a bit rough. The finishing touches weren’t as polished as in other rooms we’ve done before. Before starting the game, we went into a small room to listen to the scenario and take a picture for the end of the game.

The puzzles were fun to solve and all related to the theme. We were impressed with how creative they were. It was entirely automatic mechanisms, and they were challenging, sometimes involving multiple steps. There’s one puzzle where you need to know things about Batman. Additionally, there was one gadget that wasn’t working, making that puzzle nearly impossible to solve. To get hints, we needed to find hint tokens and press a button to call the game master, who would come into the room to help.
Overall, we liked the room because of the originality of the theme and the fun puzzles! It’s a family-friendly room and better suited for groups of four. We are happy with our performance because we completed the room with some time to spare and asked for three hints. We liked it, and we escaped!
