Our day ended at Time Escape in Edmonton with The Imperial Palace. In this scenario, after years of research, your friend has discovered a dungeon hidden in the imperial palace containing secret artifacts. However, his academic peers not only believe his studies are false, but they also think he’s crazy because of his obsession. Without concrete evidence, the task your team must accomplish is to return to the imperial palace and gather evidence proving that there is a dungeon and that the artifacts are real. We liked the scenario as it’s well detailed and it has a unique twist.
The decors are decent, but they’re missing a wow factor. There could have been more props and set pieces that would have helped to enhance immersion. We liked that there was multiple rooms and music playing. Although, we could still hear people in the entrance and it was a bit annoying. It wasn’t the best immersion that we’ve experienced.

The puzzles are all related to the theme and they are fun to solve. The balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms, and manipulation games is good. There is an element related to the theme that indicates when a puzzle is successfully solved. The game master enters the room to give hints, and this is really not our preferred method.
Overall, we liked this escape game because the puzzles were fun to solve and the decors were fine. It’s a good room for families who want to try it, as it’s not too difficult and it’s not scary. We are happy with our performance because we completed this room with only asking for 1 hint. We liked it okay and we escaped!
