We continue our day with The Fallen Kingdom at Xperience in Kelowna. In this scenario, for a thousand years, your house has ruled the kingdom under the peaceful reign of the king… until today. The king is dead and the royal houses are openly revolting to claim legitimacy and power. In order to unite and bring peace to the kingdom, you and your elite banners have infiltrated the castle to obtain a crystal. It has the power to unite and restore balance between the royal houses or grant total power to one house. Upon arriving at the castle, scouts from the opposing houses discovered your intention and have sent a message by raven to their lords. They will arrive at the castle on horseback in 60 minutes with orders to eliminate anyone standing between them and the crystal. Your only chance of survival is to find it and escape the castle before the lords arrive.

At this location, there’s no place to safely store your personal belongings, so you must bring them with you into the rooms. This already breaks the immersion of the escape game and we haven’t started yet. Otherwise, the decor is nice but there are some adjustments to be made. For example, we could see many electrical wires and some elements of the decor could have been reworked and improved.

The puzzles were really interesting in this escape game. They were all related to the theme and weren’t that easy. It was mainly automatic mechanisms in this room. What happens when you’ve successfully completed the escape game is very ordinary. Hints were given using an electronic tablet, and we really don’t like this approach because it can give spoilers on what tasks to accomplish next and sometimes the hints aren’t very useful. Also, there was no game master following our progress in this room.

Overall, this isn’t our favorite room but the puzzles were fun anyway. We are satisfied with our performance since we didn’t ask for many clues and we finished with a good time. We like it okay and we escaped!
