The antique museum was our very first escape room of our big trip! In this scenario, our friend Harvey has been missing since he went to an interview for a job at the museum. We decide to go to the museum and ask but none of the staff have heard anything. On the way out, a weird security guard says to stop looking for our friend because the museum is dangerous at night, apparently some pieces come alive. We decide to check out the museum after hours anyway and hopefully find our friend alive! We liked the scenario as it’s well detailed with a clear goal.
The decors were okay but we were not really impressed. There was many stickers placed on different items saying that if we break it we would have to pay a big fine. We understand why but it’s really affecting the immersion in the end. Also, we thought that the different rooms didn’t make much sense together. It didn’t feel like we were in a museum that much. There wasn’t any music playing and we were able to hear people from the other rooms.

The puzzles were fun to solve with a nice variety of logics. There was a good balance between traditional locks, automatic mechanisms and manipulation puzzles. Also, whenever you would enter a new room, there was a sign saying to start with a specific puzzle. I’m not really a fan of this method even if it’s meant to help us. For the hints, the game master was entering the room to help us with the puzzle we were stuck on. We don’t like this way of giving hints.
Overall, we were not too impressed with the room itself but we had fun with the puzzles! We are happy with our performance as we finished with an okay time asking for only one hint. We liked it and we escaped!
