Rivia was the second room we did at Exit in Chilliwack. In this scenario, we are Geralt of Rivia, an infamous Witcher. Our sword has been stolen by a sorceress named Lytta. We are trapped inside her dungeon, and she is planning to take our eyes in hopes of using them in transhumanism spells. We have to find a way out and conquer Lytta once and for all. The scenario is fine, but for some reason, I’m not 100% convinced by it.

The decors were fine but a bit basic. We liked that it had multiple rooms and the size of each was good. They were creative in a few aspects of the rooms, but we felt they could have done more. However, we enjoyed the music that was playing in the room.

The puzzles were okay, but we were a bit disappointed. There weren’t that many of them, and two were broken. The game master knew that the lasers weren’t working and didn’t tell us. It was mostly automatic mechanisms and one traditional lock. To give hints, the game master would come in and help us where we were stuck.

Overall, this isn’t our favorite room because we were not impressed with the puzzles. It’s a family-friendly room and better suited for smaller groups of 2-3 people. We are happy with our performance as we completed the room with a lot of time to spare and didn’t ask for any hints. We liked it and we escaped!
