This room was the first and only room that we’ve done at Bamboozled. It’s a classic pirate scenario although we thought it was missing goals and story. It’s a bit generic! And it turned out to be more a task driven room instead of actual puzzles.

For this room, we would receive information about the tasks on the screen and once the task was completed, it was letting us know. The problem is that there was always a fairly long delay between the completed task and next step on the screen. That was completely breaking the rhythm of the room. We thought that maybe an in person game master to pass along info or written info. Having to wait for the TV to confirm that we have succeeded at completing the task is a bit annoying. There weren’t really any puzzles in there to solve, the room was all about storytelling and tasks to accomplish. So if your dream is to act like a pirate for an hour, then this room is perfect for you!

The decors were really well done and realistic. We were particularly impressed with the mural in the second room! The hints/tasks were given on a tv as mentioned earlier.

Overall, this isn’t my favorite kind of room but if you think that you would prefer to accomplish tasks instead of solving puzzles, then this is the room for you! We unfortunately didn’t like it but we did escape!
