This was our first prison with a twist! Prison theme escape rooms are a classic so it was nice to do one that had a different angle to it. In this scenario, we are a peasant wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death by hanging. We have 1 hour to escape before being executed! It’s a good classic scenario, nothing unique or surprising but it’s fine.
The decors were nice, really dark and spooky. But I thought that the second room didn’t make sense with the story line. Indeed, there was some furniture and accessories that wouldn’t be found in a prison or in the medieval period. There was music playing in this one which created a good ambiance for this theme. We did notice some anachronism which isn’t a big deal but it’s worth to mention it.

The hints were given with a talkie walkie which is fine.
We start in the dark in separated cells and as we solve puzzles we are finding lanterns. I think it’s a great way to introduce more light to the game. The puzzles were fun and well thought, they were easy and best suited for beginners. Also, there was only 7 puzzles in total which isn’t much and it was mostly traditional locks.
Overall, it’s a nice room with fun puzzles and beautiful decors. It’s the perfect room for a small group of beginner. Since it’s quite dark , kids could find it scary. Overall, despite being a bit easy, it was fun. We liked it and we escaped!
