Le secret des dunes was our 4th escape room of the day at À double tour. In this scenario, we are about to take over a research on an unknown pharaon. Indeed, a famous egyptologist mysteriously interrupted their research and no one else was willing to start again until we arrived. Are we going to find out the truth about the pharaon? This is a classic theme and scenario in escape rooms. It could have been a bit more detailed and original but in the end it works fine.

As expected, the decors were well done! We were especially impressed on how they’ve set up all the rooms and how you enter each of them. It’s very unique and fun!

We were a bit disappointed with the puzzles as there weren’t that many. But they were related to the theme and the variety of logics was pretty good. For the hints, it starts off with the game master in character like the other rooms but mid-game it changes. We don’t want to give any spoilers but we didn’t like that change.

Overall, it’s a good room but it’s not our favorite. We think that this room is better suited for smaller groups and beginners. We are happy with our performance as we finished with a good time. We liked it and we escaped!
