Final Destination was the second room we did at Roundabout in Toronto on May 19th, 2024. In this scenario, we are agents working for the Roundabout Intelligence Agency, and our mission—Final Destination—takes place aboard flight RA280. We discover a hack that’s set to crash the plane in 60 minutes, and it’s up to us to use our detective skills to save the passengers. The scenario is introduced through a video before entering the room. We liked that the goal was clear, but we felt the storyline could have used more detail and was missing a unique twist.
The set design was overall well done, though a bit uneven. We were especially impressed by the second room—the airplane cabin—which was highly realistic and creative. It was one of the best airplane cabin that we’ve see so far! However, rooms one and three were a bit underwhelming. The last room was very basic and lacked details and realism. We weren’t even sure what room one was supposed to represent—it didn’t clearly tie into the story.

The puzzles were fun to solve and all related into the theme and storyline. It was mostly traditional locks with a few automatic mechanisms. As a linear room, we could only work on one puzzle at a time. The puzzles were fairly easy, with most of them involving just one step to solve. We especially liked one of the puzzle in the plane cabin, it was brilliant and unique! Hints were provided via walkie talkie which is fine.
Overall, we liked this room because the puzzles were fun and the airplane cabin decor was particularly impressive! It’s a family-friendly experience that works best for small groups of 2–3 people. We’re happy with our performance—we finished with a good time and only needed one hint. We liked it, and we escaped!
